Yes. We are a full treatment facility and are happy to accept your whole family. If your child needs to see a specialist we will advise you. However, we are able to provide majority of the routing work for children and are happy to welcome your whole family.

It is recommended that your child comes in around his/her first birthday. Our goal is to prevent dental problems and the first visit of a child to a dental office should not be associated with pain. At the first visit, the dentist will examine the child’s teeth. The goal also is to get the child familiar with the dental office and get to know our staff as their friends. We let the child play with the dental chair and he gets to pick a toy from the treasure chest.  If the child is very unhappy with coming, we do not force an examination and try again in 6 months. The goal is to become a friend and someone the child trusts. No treatment is ever forced on the child and most children quite happily let us clean their teeth on a gradient.

No, you don’t need to pay upfront for all your dental treatment as we will accept payment from your dental plan and help you with all the necessary paperwork.  

You are however, responsible for any part of your treatment that your dental plan does not cover and this would need to be paid at the appointment after your treatment is done.

Dental plans are not custom made and they may not help you to pay for all the treatment you need. It is important to care for your teeth as your mouth is an important part of your body. Our dentists will help you to understand your treatment options and help you work out a step-by-step plan so you are able to get the treatment you need.

This is excellent. However, there are places around your teeth that you may miss and these areas accumulate plaque (bacteria deposits on dried salivary protein). This plaque can lead to cavities and gum disease.  Our hygienist and dentist will ensure that this plaque is removed and if there is any cavity beginning it is detected before it destroys a larger part of your teeth.

Unfortunately, dental cavities can develop in your teeth and may not be painful till they reach the nerve. Once a cavity reaches the nerve you would need a root canal treatment or would need to have the tooth pulled. Untreated this can lead to a sudden abscess and sometimes serious infections.

At a routine dental check-up our dentist will let you know if you have any cavities and often the dentist needs x-rays to see cavities that cannot be detected just by looking. This way if you have any cavities they will be detected and before they cause you a lot of pain and suffering. Sugar is a major cause of cavities. Cutting down on number of times we eat sugar can reduce cavities significantly.  Sugary foods such as candies, gum, chocolates, chocolate milk, fruit juices, coke, and canned drinks especially increase the risk of getting cavities markedly. If you do eat any of these, it is best to brush right after or rinse your mouth water.

Regular at home brushing and flossing, eating raw vegetables, exercising and regular dental checkups are also important to help prevent cavities.
